For first time drivers this can be quite difficult to complete. You have to get the gold medal to unlock the next tracks and progress through the campaign. Single player campaign has 65 tracks divided between 5 difficulty levels. There's no player collision, it's just you against the course for your best time. Once you beat all the solo tracks at all four levels of difficulty, going online multiplayer will expose you to tons of player made tracks and some REALLY fast players. I find in multiplayer races with lots of players I will hit the restart button after the countdown and follow the pack instead of trying to race in the middle of it. It was a little jarring at first coming from racing sims, and I still reflexively dodge them sometimes even though you can drive right through them lol.
